My top 10 arty websites I visit.

The internet is such a magical place to get your creative ideas from! There are TONS of resources out there [free or not] at your disposal! I'm gonna share with you the top ten sites I tend to visit regularly.

1) I Heart Faces is such a wonderful happy place for photographers! They have weekly photo challenges that you can enter, it is a fantastic way to motivate you to get out and take pictures! It is also a great way to get feedback, and get your work out there. I Heart Faces also does tutorials on some programs, they do free giveaways and a lot more! You can also join the I Heart Faces Community [for free!!!] for even more wonderful stuff! Like talking to the creators, Angie and Amy, submitting TONS of your photos for the community to see, and entering contests!

2) Shadow House Creations is a great place to see some really cool art work. Jerry [the creator] makes FREE textures for people to use in the photos/digital art. They are so beautiful too I use them all the time. Jerry posts really amazing art work and cool music he likes too. Even some tutorials on how to use the textures he creates!

3) Coffee Shop actions are amazing and easy to use. And there are soooo many! Rita [the creator] makes all the actions, and she even features some of Jerry's stuff too! She makes lots of freebies and tells some pretty funny stories about army men [toys]. If you are new to using photoshop actions then Rita also has tutorials on how to use them each properly!

4) Brusheezy has TONS of free photoshop brushes to use for just about anything! I visit their site quite often to see what is new! Also if you're handy with making brushes you can submit your own for everyone to love and enjoy! I get almost all of my brushes from Brusheezy. Most users make sure to make their brushes really big so you can always have a good quality!

5) Pixels and Ice Cream is another great texture/brushes resource. Although not everything is free it is worth the money to buy! I have gotten quite a few brushes from them and love them! They are very cute and swirly :]

6) The Album Cafe is great for photographers who need templates for portraits. Again not everything is free but it is well worth the money if you are trying to give those portraits that extra "umph!" The prices are very good for how wonderful everything is!

7) There is a fun and creative store called Photojojo! I must say I am a fan of EVERYTHING they have! Sign up for their newsletter to get all the latest news! You can even see some super fun and creative tutorials to do when you need some inspiration!

8) Sometimes there are days when you just need a crazy cool font. For that I visit Dafont. Almost everything is free for personal use. There are some pretty cool fonts that I love to use.

9) Etsy isn't exactly a place to get freebies. But it is a place to sell your work! Make an account and start making some money on your wonderful art! Also shop and look at other people's work. There is everything from paintings, photographs, drawings, jewelry to clothes, furniture, toys and so much more. Also if you just need some inspiration just browse through or search something and see what might spark your own imagination!

10) Now we were all new to using photoshop or other editing programs once. We all needed some help. Well look no further! There are thousands of free tutorials out there and I've found a site with assorted tutorials all in one convenient location! Photoshop Essentials is what got my on my feet. There are some nice tutorials you could use in a portrait, or some really funky ones you could use for artwork. The tutorials are really great and take you step by step so if your new to photoshop you'll be ok!

These are the top 10 that I visit a lot! I love them all too! Hopefully these creative sites will help you too! Enjoy and have a great week!
